Ember Bee Isopods (Ardentiella sp.)
Ember Bee isopods (Ardentiella sp., formerly Merulanella sp.) are one of the most striking premium isopods in the US hobby. Originally from Vietnam, these collector-grade isopods stand out with their bold gradient coloration — jet-black plates fading into vivid red, orange, and yellow. Unlike most isopods that hide in the substrate, Ember Bees are unusually active and outgoing, often climbing and displaying themselves in the open. They are one of the largest Ardentiella species kept in captivity, making them a true display centerpiece.
All Ember Bee isopods for sale at Creature Cache are captive bred at our Southern California facility and ship with a 100% live arrival guarantee.
