Crabby isopods (Cubaris sp. "Crabby") are one of the most impressive isopods in the US hobby, and widely regarded as the largest Cubaris kept in captivity. Originally from the caves of Southern Vietnam, these collector grade isopods are named for their chunky, crab like build and broad, armored body, wrapped in a rich golden orange color. Naturally shy and most active at night, they tend to huddle beneath cork bark and roll into a tight ball when disturbed. With adults reaching up to 2.8 cm, they bring serious size and presence to any collection.
